Current Projects
In March 2007, SISS received a grant from Comic Relief to undertake projects to improve the living conditions in urban slum. SISS Urban Lifeline Project is in support of efforts to provide basic amenities and skills to improve the living conditions and employment prospects that will, in turn, improve incomes and alleviate poverty.
SISS is collaborating with the residents of Agbogloshie in Accra to put up a resource center for child care and training. The establishment of a permanent resource facility will provide a solid foundation from which slum residents can acquire a voice, and actively participate in the country’s social, economic and political life.
SISS has just been selected as a partner for implementing Belongings
project in Ghana. This is a 3 year partnership of exchange between Ghana and UK
